Spider Skeletons, Mermaids And Horse Shit.

I got some vacation time! I went to Florida with my fella to visit my mom, nanny (above) and gich. I (mostly) ditched the electronics for the week and just tried to relax. I bought wine in a grocery store, on a Sunday. I hung out in the barn with my mom feeding horses, picking horse shit out of stalls and taking pictures of spider skeletons. The novice phone photographer returns!

We went to Weeki Wachee Springs and saw a mermaid show in an underwater theater.

Built in 1947 and submerged in the deepest natural spring in America, the scenery is breathtaking, and only $13. For that price you also get into the water park that has slides that dump you directly into the spring. It was a little cold for us but we want to go back in the summer and swim in the crystal clear water. Also included was a riverboat tour in the clearest water that I have ever seen in my life, it’s gorgeous. The park is overrun with peacocks and this one put out all of his (her?) feathers and rotated slowly to allow the crowd that had gathered to take his photo.

Relaxed and refreshed we returned home yesterday evening, already planning our next trip. A multitude of new ideas came to my clear head while driving and I plan to start materializing them right away. Thanks for reading!

Thank you! I can see the similarities, and I love it! My mom is very rough and tumble, cowgirl from New York style, and my Nanny is very classy, housewife from the 50’s and 60’s style. I like to think I got the best of both of them, physical likeness and disposition. Thank you so much for reading!

Adore your photos, just stunning, particularly of your mom and the peacock.
