This is my sister’s recipe, she was nice enough to share it with me so I could make a pie for my fella’s birthday. He loved the pie so much that he ate it for breakfast the next day.
Studded Phone Case And The 3%
28 MarI grew tired of the green eyes that would replace my brown ones. Every time I would see one of those studded phone cases I was in love, but not enough to shell out the cash. You see dearies, I am very frugal. I like to save my money for bigger and better things instead of spending it on the trivial things. As a waitress you understand more than most that pennies really do add up to dollars. I prefer to make the things that I covet, and in doing so I am able to exercise my artistic expression as well as set myself apart from the norm. I used the last of my studs, and a feather that broke off an earring.
I will be shopping for more studs asap. If anyone has a favorite site to order studs from please feel free to let me know.
Full Worm Moon
27 Mar
I finally finished this piece that sat in the back of my closet for at least a year. Sometimes the inspiration leaves me and I have to wait for it to come back. I was doing fifteen other things this evening when I thought about this piece and pulled it out to finish. I enjoy incorporating texture into plain pencil drawings. I like contrast, and I strive to carry it out in a way that doesn’t cheapen it.
The moon is full tonight, making me feel restless and a little overwhelmed with nothing.
I Am Not Sick
26 MarWhiskey, lemons, honey, and Echinacea tea. Nasal spray, aleve, tea tree oil and a nice warm hat. Chicken soup, popsicles, and sleeping on the couch while watching Bob’s Burgers. If you haven’t guessed by now I spent yesterday evening like a sick little baby.
Penne a la Vodka and Chicken Cutlets
24 MarQueen of the late night dinners here with penne a la vodka and chicken cutlets. Tonight we ate dinner at midnight, that’s normal ’round here.
DIY New Spring Skirt From Scraps
21 MarIt’s may be 35° here in Nashville, but Spring has officially started! I was feeling a little bummed and looking at the weather forecast when I decided to make a new skirt, it’s got to get warm eventually. I had eyed this scrap material that Kate gave me for a while and I finally jumped on it. Kate has opened a vintage Etsy shop and you can visit her at Drunk Off Love.
Surely Betty Ford Brushed Her Hair
20 MarWake up and take the dog-friend for a walk while the coffee is brewing. Get ready, talk to my sister, take care of the plants, read the news and write. This is how I start most of my days.
Spider Skeletons, Mermaids And Horse Shit.
19 MarI got some vacation time! I went to Florida with my fella to visit my mom, nanny (above) and gich. I (mostly) ditched the electronics for the week and just tried to relax. I bought wine in a grocery store, on a Sunday. I hung out in the barn with my mom feeding horses, picking horse shit out of stalls and taking pictures of spider skeletons. The novice phone photographer returns!
